Samsung Sells 10 Million Galaxy S Globally In 2010

Undoubtedly Samsung’s Galaxy S is one the most anticipated mobile phones of 2010 after iPhone 4. And with worldwide marketing by Samsung makes it possible to distribute the I9000 Android 2.1 Éclair phone as many carrier outlets as possible. That’s why Samsung Galaxy S reached every corner of the world soon after its release. Now after 7 months of its release we just heard that Samsung Galaxy S sold 10 million copies worldwide.

North America is the region with most Galaxy S sold with more than four million. Among this 3 million units were sold only in US market. Second best result comes from Europe with 2.5 million. So the performance is not so good in other region. But still the numbers are impressive enough. In Q4 2010, Samsung changed their focus to Galaxy TAB tablet. It might be a reason for lower number of Galaxy S sells.
