Motorola DEFY Gets Android 2.2 Update Across US and Europe

Motorola DEFY hits the market back in 2010 September with Android 2.1 version. While many other mid-range Android phone owners are getting latest Android update then it is matter of time when Motorola will give firmware upgrade for its DEFY. Now the wait is over. T-Mobile users of USA are already using the upgraded Android 2.2 phone for a few days. It is also scheduled to release the same update over Europe in very near future.

You can update your Motorola DEFY via over the air. Size of the update is 112 MB. So it will be good for you to use Wi-Fi connection to download the Android 2.2 Froyo update. You can get it by going to "About Phone" in the device's Settings menu and hitting "System Software Updates".

The Defy's Android Froyo 2.2 update brings some major updates to your phone. You can use your phone as Wi-Fi Hotspot up to 5 devices. It now supports Flash support and allows you to install apps to the SD card as well. Motorola also add new profiles, each with three customisable home screens, contacts search from your dialler, LinkedIn account integration to your contacts, social networking and messaging updates and revamped gallery UI.
