We are hearing from this droid for a very long time. At the beginning HTC Rezound showed it face with the name, HTC Vigor. But for a while we all know its real name and specs. Now HTC officially unveiled the HTC Rezound at a dedicated event it held in New York today. The Verizon-exclusive smartphone will be the first US droid with Beats Audio and will come with LTE support.
The HTC Rezound runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with Sense 3.5 on its 4.3-inch 1280x720 pixels display. The Rezound will be the first smartphone with a 720p screen to hits the market. Because Samsung Galaxy Nexus will hit the market on November 17. It has a pixel density of 342 ppi. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Scorpion processor and sporting 1GB of RAM, the HTC Rezound shouldn't have any issues in the performance department. Storage is covered, too, with 16GB of on-board storage and a 16GB micro SD card included in the retail package.
At the back the HTC Rezound sports an 8MP f/2.2 camera capable of shooting 1080p video. To improve its low-light performance, HTC has blessed the Rezound with a dual LED flash. Naturally, there's Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi radios on tap as well.
The HTC Rezound comes with Beats Audio sound enhancements and the special tangle-free Beats Audio headphones included in the retail package.
The HTC Rezound will be available in Verizon stores starting November 14 for $299 on a two-year contract.
Now the time for best things about HTC Rezound. HTC promised that they will be updating Rezound to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012. I am ready for that. What is about you?
