HTC Ruby coming to T-Mobile US on October 26 with Samsung Hercules

T-Mobile is preparing for a major Android phone release on 26 of October. And two of their 2011 blockbuster are set to come at the same day. A leaked T-Mobile presentation revealed that both Samsung Hercules and HTC are coming the same day.

Samsung Hercules is actually the T-Mobile US version of the Galaxy S II. So the processor and camera should be based on the same hardware as the international Galaxy S II. But from the leak we know that Hercules will come with a bigger 4.5" Super AMOLED Plus screen, NFC capabilities and 42Mbps HSPA+ to use faster network speed in US. Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be shipped from the first day with TouchWiz.

HTC Ruby sounds a lot like the upcoming HTC Vigor. It has a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 1 GB RAM and a 4.3-inch display. HTC Ruby runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense UI. Camera resolution of HTC Ruby is 8 megapixel for the rear and 2 megapixel for the front. The rest of the specs we know so far are the Bluetooth 3.0 and category 24 HSDPA support.
samsung hercules release date on t-mobileWe are sure that T-Mobile will offer both the handsets with 2-year contract but there's no word of the pricing for either smartphone in this presentation. A previous rumor suggested the Hercules price might be $300 with a contract. So HTC Ruby contract price will be around $250-$300. But who knows! May be iPhone 5 will change everything.
