Samsung unveils 2nd Grand phone with 5.25-inch display

Whether it’s good or not so good you have to admit Samsung sold a lots of Galaxy Grand smartphone last year. 1st generation Grand had a big display with poor resolution and enough battery power due to the lack of processing speed. But it was high priced comparing other smartphones. But because of aggressive marketing policy it was a huge hit in developing country like Bangladesh. So it’s no wonder that Samsung unveiled the 2nd generation Galaxy Grand just a month before Christmas season. This Grand sequel brings some major upgrades over the previous generation including an improved HD viewing experience, enhanced performance, a 5.25 inch screen and more. he device also comes with dual-SIM capabilities. Grand 2 also features a new design that is similar to the new Galaxy Note 3 with a stitching pattern around the faux leather back.

According to the specs, the display features a 1280 x 720 resolution backed by a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, and Android 4.3 "Jelly Bean." The device also provides a mere 8 GB of internal storage, which is disappointing. But a microSD card slot allows for 64 GB of extra storage.

The phone will be available primarily in white, with black and pink offered in select regions. But Samsung didn’t mention pricing or availability for the device but given its less-than-cutting-edge specs we can assume that it will targeted more as a mid-range device in emerging markets.
