LG officially announces G Flex 2 global release schedule

LG has announced the global rollout of its second curved Android smartphone the G Flex 2, which was unveiled during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at Las Vegas. The G Flex 2 is already available to buy in South Korea from January, customers in other markets will only get it in March.

The handset will be available from major carriers in the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany and the U.K.initially, with other markets across Asia, North and South Americas and Europe getting access to the device in the weeks following MWC. The device is up for pre-order in the UK, and will go on sale in Singapore starting March 14. Over in the US, the smartphone will be available through Sprint on March 13.

Besides being powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, the LG G Flex 2 offers plenty of other attractive features. Like last year's G Flex, the new smartphone has a curved, flexible body, and a self-healing back cover. Its screen is a 5.5-inch 1080p one, while Android 5.0 KitKat comes pre-installed. Other features include a 13 MP rear camera with laser auto focus, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
